I am for real when I say “silkiest”
I posted a makeup look a few weeks ago on my Instagram account where I used the ever-so-silky Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I actually loved this primer since I was first introduced to it in 2013 and I am so grateful to have gotten a brand new bottle courtesy of Influenster and Hourglass. Before we get on with the details of this primer, I really mean it when I say it’s one of the silkiest primers I’ve tried thus far. If you’re looking for a new primer to try, definitely keep reading to learn more about my experience. ♥
The Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer ($19.00 – $75.00 USD) is considered to be an oil-free primer with a silky, airy texture that leaves a smooth canvas for makeup, while reducing the look of redness, pores, and wrinkles. Ideal for all skin types, even sensitive, blemish-prone skin, and it repels water so makeup stays and looks freshly applied all day long.
THOUGHTS: As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I’ve loved this primer since 2013 and it has always been in my top 5 of favorite primers since then. Having a new bottle excites me because I’ve tried so many primers and I’ve gotten distracted and jumbled up with other primers that I forgot to pick up a new bottle for myself.
What I appreciate the most about this primer is the fact that it truly does repel water and make my make look refreshed all throughout the day. I have an oily/combination skin type and this primer is light enough to keep my skin feeling silky without feeling like there is an extra layer of makeup on my face. With this primer, a little goes a very long way so an entire full size bottle will last you quite some time. I definitely do recommend trying this primer (even try a sample from your local Sephora) to see what I mean. Having a great primer is something that will definitely change your makeup game in conjunction with taking care of your skin with great skincare. ♥
