Hello Beautiful!

WHAT IS IT? “The Oleavine 100% Plant Based Konjac Sponges have been a beauty secret in Asian cultures for decades. Often called the “Miracle Sponge” by our customers because this luxuriously soft sponge gently exfoliates, cleanses, is naturally pH balanced, promotes circulation, absorbs toxins and fights bacteria while leaving your face glowing and refreshed. You don’t even need to use a face cleanser, unless you want to.

This Konjac sponge gently exfoliates, deeply cleanses, effectively detoxifies, luxuriously refreshes and naturally moisturizes the skin. It is also popular for the entire family as it can be used as an exfoliating facial sponge or gentle enough for bathing a young child. Fantastic for all skin types, including very sensitive skin and children of all ages. The secret is in the Konjac fibers! The unique net-like structure of the natural vegetable fibers helps to deeply clean, remove blackheads, promote blood circulation and stimulates skin cell renewal without the irritation caused by traditional exfoliating methods.” (source)

*Oleavine Konjac Sponges are: 100% natural, biodegradable and sustainably developed. It is also made with no chemicals, no artificial colors and no preservatives.

PRICE: $10.00 USD each

AVAILABILITY: oleavine.com — Comes in 4 different versions: Original Pure White (Sensitive Skin and Children of all ages), French Red Clay Infused (Dry, Sensitive or Mature Skin), French Green Clay Infused (Combination and Oily T-zone Skin), and Bamboo Charcoal Infused (Oily and Acne-Prone Skin)

HOW TO USE THE OLEAVINE KONJAC SPONGE:

  • RINSE: Rinse or soak in warm water and allow sponge to fully absorb water
  • CLEANSE: Gently massage face with sponge. No cleanser is required but works well with gentle cleansers
  • AIR DRY: After use, rinse and gently squeeze out the water by pressing between your palms. Never wring the sponge to avoid damaging the delicate fibers. Hang with attached string in well ventilated area to air out the sponge.

HOW TO CLEAN OLEAVINE KONJAC SPONGE/SANITATION TIP: If you wish to sanitize for multiple person or for extended use, the sponges can be boiled for a few minutes or placed in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Keeping in microwave for too long can cause over drying or burning of the sponge. It is normal for the sponge to naturally breakdown over time. Replace every 2-3 months! (Yes, it’s like replacing a toothbrush… ha!)

REVIEW: Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I’ve tried a few Konjac beauty sponges from different brands but this one by far is the most unique of them all. All of the Konjac sponges I’ve tried are circular and quite small. This Oleavine Konjac Sponge is massive and fits perfectly into the palms of my hands. It is ergonomically designed to reach all areas of the face and body and it is just perfect!

I love using this gentle sponge in the morning with my daily cleanser to start my day. I also love to use this sponge at night with my cleansing oils to remove my makeup. After using the sponge to remove my makeup, I do a more abrasive cleanse with my clarisonic… Then the rest of my skincare follows. I know that sounds insane but I’ve been cleansing my face like this for years now and it works for me.

If you have sensitive skin and can’t seem to find a gentle cleansing tool, I know you’re going to enjoy this sponge! It is a definite must-have in any skincare regimen. It’s ultra-soft and just amazing. You can also cleanse your body with this but I haven’t tried it before. By the feeling and texture of this sponge, it really would be gentle enough for children to use.

Have you tried a Konjac Facial Beauty Sponge before? What do you like to cleanse your face with? I would love to hear from you… I encourage comments so that I can connect with you. Thank you for taking the time to read this post! ♥

Love konjac sponges! They are my jam! I normally get the charcoal version from The Face Shop but it’s not good for all skin types! Love that this is very affordable!

Hey Tiff, thank you for your comment! Glad to hear that you also love konjac sponges, they are a great cleansing tool, huh? I’ll definitely look into the sponges at The Face Shop for when I need to replace this sponge. xx

    Hi Brigitte,
I was given one of these sponges & I’ve been trying it out this last month or so. It’s definitely much nicer to use than a muslin cloth!
I still use cleansing oil as it seems too good to be true not to need a cleanser.
I’m not sure I’ll be repurchasing but interesting to try & so soft!

Hey Emily, thank you for your comment. Muslin cloths are amazing too but konjac sponges are by far the most gentle tool I’ve used thus far. Cleansing oils and konjac sponges are great together too. <3
