Bad Habit Luna Eyeshadow Palette Review

by

Brigette received product(s) for editorial consideration

it’s a new launch for bad habit beauty!

About a week or two ago, I received this stunning Luna Eyeshadow Collection Palette in the mail courtesy of Bad Habit Beauty as consideration. Although this brand is quite new to me, the shades in the palette are stunning. In this post, I will include my thoughts, product photos as well as swatches of the shades in the palette.

what is the luna eyeshadow collection palette?

The Bad Habit Beauty Luna Eyeshadow Palette (retail: $16 USD) is inspired by the magical hues of a moonlit night. With 14 super pigmented shades, the eyeshadows range from dazzling pearl to silky matte finishes. The palette includes colors from neutrals to vibrant violet shades that have a creamy, blendable and buildable formula that can work for both day and night looks. Available online at badhabitbeauty.com

The shades this palette includes are:
Crescent (matte ivory)
Waxing (matte burnt orange)
Apolune (bronze with pink color shift)
Penumbra (matte mid tone pink)
High Tide (rose gold)
Waning (metallic sparkling sand)
Aphelion (matte coffee brown)
Eclipse (metallic wine with bronze color shift)
Meridian (duochrome metallic pink with blue color shift)
Mare (cool matte taupe brown)
Half Moon (metallic violet with pink color shift)
Basalt (pale gold shimmer)
Super Moon (matte periwinkle)
Darkside (matte rust)

how to apply – application tips

Like most sparkly shadows, when it comes to the application of the dazzling pearl finish eyeshadows, I found that they apply better with synthetic fiber brushes or any dense eyeshadow brush. Using a synthetic fiber brush or any dense eyeshadow brush, it will help pack on more of the eyeshadow thus making the color payoff more true to the shade in the palette. You can also pack on the shimmery shades with your fingers for a more precise application as well.

I’ve noticed that the other shades apply well with any brushes. Like all other eyeshadows, I would definitely recommend using a primer or base under these eyeshadows to get the most true-to-color payoff possible. I mean, this palette is too gorgeous to not get the most out of it.

final thoughts/verdict?

When I first received this palette, I didn’t know what to expect and once I opened the palette to take a peek, I literally fell in the love with the shades. After playing with the shades and creating a few makeup looks, I know I will definitely be using this palette quite a lot this coming fall and winter season. This palette has the perfect warm shades for fall and the perfect sparkling and deeper shades for the winter season. I’m excited to create more looks!

I personally do not own the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette but I’ve seen quite a few comparisons between the two palettes. Although I love the ABH palettes I own, I know the price point of the Luna Eyeshadow palette is more reasonable and up my ally when it comes to the price point. With that being said, if you’re looking for a more affordable palette that is similar and almost identical to the ABH Norvina Eyeshadow Palette, I would highly suggest giving this one a shot.

One last thing, I mentioned in my tutorial that I found cheaper alternatives to the products I used in the video and it will be listed down below for you, too. Hey Beautiful!

Phew, I haven’t done one of these posts on my blog since 2012… Yes, I know it’s been awhile! If you’re following me on instagram (@brigetteramos) then you have probably seen that I posted this look and I told everyone to check out this blog post for the details. When I post looks on Instagram, I typically don’t like to take the entire comment section to explain what I’m using because it can be time consuming and be annoying for my followers.

I hope you enjoy this look and check below to see what products I’ve used on my face. Have a great day and let me know if you’d like me to post more looks on my blog. ♥
