Hey Beauts! ♥ Highlighting and contouring has taken over the beauty industry. Many cosmetic brands are launching highlighting and contouring products left and right, cream and powders, whatever you can think of is now in the market for consumers to purchase to achieve the trending “highlighted and contoured” look.
Today, I’m going to share the PUR Cosmetics Cameo Contour Foundation that can work as a foundation, highlighter and contour product all-in-one. I’m also going to share my thoughts, photos and swatches of all of the foundation shades that are available too.

PUR Cosmetics Cameo Contour Dual Ended Foundations
This dual-ended contour stick adds closeup-worthy depth and dimension to your natural features with a creamy formula that sets to a picture-perfect powder finish. With use of natural light-reflective ingredients that resemble microspheres, this 2-in-1 complexion innovation emphasizes the face’s natural highlights and shadows while simultaneously blurring the look of imperfections, such as dark spots and fine lines. When being applied and blended with the Contour Blending Sponge, skin also absorbs in the skin-perfecting benefits of PUR’s own Ceretin® Complex—a proprietary blend of hydrating ceramides and age-defying vitamin A!
This product is oil-free and petrolatum-free. PUR does NOT test on animals. Available at purcosmetics.com — retails for $39.50 USD

– under eye
– center of chin
*Highlighting will bring light to the face thus creating an illusion of bringing features of the face forward.
CONTOUR (the deeper shade)
– around the forehead hairline
– sides of nose
– under cheekbone
– under jawline
*Contouring will bring depth to the face thus creating an illusion of shadows and contours to the face.

PUR Cosmetics Cameo Contour Dual Ended Foundation Sponge
Use the Contour Blending Sponge included with the foundation dampened and bounce the sponge on your face to blend out the highlighted and contoured areas. This will allow for a natural and airbrushed finish (see my before and after photo at the bottom of this post). The sponge that is included is quite similar to the Original Beauty Blender but a little more dense and has a flat edge to help blend out any harsh edges.
Below are swatches of the individual PUR Cosmetics Cameo Contour Foundations so you can see which one will work with your complexion.

Overall, I’m obsessed with this foundation stick. In my before and after photo, I’m using the shade Tan because that’s the shade that matches my olive complexion. After swatching the other shades, I passed them along to my makeup artist friends to use personally and they are also obsessed with it too. Both the highlight and contour shades apply seamlessly and blend out flawlessly. This is literally an all-in-one product because it’s a cream to powder foundation stick and works as your foundation, highlight and contour. It’s pretty amazing if you ask me!
I LOVE that PUR included individual sponges with the foundation sticks, making it worth every penny. If you think about it, the Original Beauty Blender retails for $20.00 USD and a typical prestige foundation retails for more than $30.00 USD so this PUR contour foundation stick ($39.50 USD) is definitely worth it.
There is one adjustment that I think can improve this product for consumers like myself… The sticks are a bit too thick or wide in diameter making it a little tough to highlight and contour smaller areas of the face like the sides of the nose. If it were a bit thinner, it would make it much easier to use. Also, using the tip of the sponge or a defining brush with a little bit of product on it can also do the job of highlighting and contouring so there are ways to make the product work if you have smaller features like me. 🙂
I hope you found this review, photos and swatches of the PUR Cosmetics Cameo Contour Foundation helpful. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on highlighting and contouring products and what product I should try next. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and we’ll chat soon.
