i’m back with trying new products!

In this post, I’m trying new IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Covergirl, Becca Cosmetics and Ofra Cosmetics products. A few weeks ago I did a quick makeup video post of some new products and I thought I’d share a brand new one with more products I received for consideration. I hope you like this makeup look and somehow found this post helpful.

complexion

To start my complexion routine, I always start with my daily skincare routine which is quite redundant to say the least. I typically cleanse my face and then apply my daily moisturizer, de-puff under my eyes with some eye cream and then finish off with the application of my daily sunscreen. All of which I have left out of this video to save you some time. After I complete my skincare regimen, I apply my makeup.

In this video, I first applied the PUR Cosmetics No Filter Blurring Primer first to set a good base for the new foundation I am using for the first time in this video and in this case it was the IT Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte Foundation in Neutral Medium and Rich. I couldn’t find the shade I typically wear in the IT Cosmetics CC+ Foundation line so I had to mix two shades to get my best match.

I bounched the Ofra Cosmetics Perfecting Puff (Use code OFRA30 for 30% off your entire Ofracosmetics.com purchase) all over my face to ensure that my foundation was fully blended. After blending my foundation, I tried the new Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer in Golden to conceal any darkness I had under my eyes by applying it in an “upside down triangle” shape then blended it out with the same Ofra Perfecting Puff.

To set my entire face, I dusted the Luscious Cosmetics Translucent Camera Powder with the new Real Techniques Everyday Essential Brush Set 400 Brush all over my face. Then I used the Real Techniques Brush 402 Brush to pack on the same Translucent Camera Powder under my eyes for and concentrated the product where I applied the concealer to ensure that there would be no creasing.

In the video, I continued on to doing my eyes but here is how I completed the rest of my complexion at the end of the video: I sculpted and bronzed my face using the Laura Geller Beach Matte Baked Bronzer in Sunset Deep. Then I went ahead and applied the blush from the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Highlight and Blush Palette and applied it to the apples of my cheeks. The technique I use to make my highlight pop (or to make it appear be more noticeable), I sprayed the Urban Decay All Nighter Spray from the Naked Cherry collection to set my foundation, blush and powder. As the setting spray is almost about dried, I apply the highlight shade from the same Naked Cherry Highlight and Blush Palette onto the high points of my cheeks as well as the bridge of my nose, and everywhere I wanted highlighted.

eyes and brows

After setting my foundation, I filled in my brows to give my face more dimension. I did this off camera to save you some time. Once my brows were done, I tried the Covergirl Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer to prime my lids to ensure that my eyeshadows pop and stay in place throughout the day. For my eyeshadow look, I used various shades from the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette – Hot Spot (brow bone highlight), Feelz (eye socket/crease shade), Turn On and Bang Bang (eyelid shade), Devilish and Privacy (outer corner shade). I tightlined my eyes with the Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil Eyeliner in Noir Intense and then applied my winged eyeliner using the new Covergirl Get in Line Liquid Liner in 320 Major Matte Black. I finished my eyes with the Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara and then added some sas by adding a pair of Kara Eyelashes!

lips

To complete any makeup look, some sort of lip color should be applied to give is a cohesive and a “put together” kind of look. With that being said, I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil to line and fill my lips. Doing this helps adhere the lipstick to my lips thus making the lipstick last longer. I topped my lips Urban Decay Naked Cherry Vice Lipstick in Juicy to give my lips more of a “your lips but better” kind of look and feel. I’m obsessed with this lip combo right now!!

An Everyday Situation Makeup Look

Makeup look with a frizzy situation…

Earlier this month, I posted a makeup look and makeup video on my Instagram account showing my hair in real life as it air dries. Although this post is about an everyday makeup look, I want to share the struggles I have with frizzy hair.

My hair becomes unbearably frizzy as my hair is naturally drying and stays frizzy until the day after I wash my hair. *eye rolls* I personally don’t like to blow dry my hair because it takes a lot of time due to the thickness and length of my hair so I prefer just letting my hair air dry. It’s my weekly struggle and if you know of a way or products I can use to tame my frizz, please help me!!!

Anywho, let’s get back into my simple and everyday makeup look that I’ve been wearing for a while now. Below is a quick minute video of me doing my makeup and YES, with the frizzy hair. HA! I’ve also listed all of the products I used to create this look in case you are curious. ♥
